    Bachelor of Science in Instrumentation and Control is a ONE-year science degree programme domiciled in the Faculty of Science and Technology. The degree is aimed at equipping students with sound theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for the design, development, installation, use, management or maintenance of measurement systems, instrumentation systems, and automated control systems. During the first two SESSIONS of study, students are introduced to a wide range of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) units/courses. In the third and fourth sessions of study, units/courses are more specialized and industry oriented. These include, but not limited to, signals & systems, system modelling and simulation.

During the first two SESSIONS of study, students are introduced to a wide range of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) units/courses. In the third and fourth sessions of study, units/courses are more specialized and industry oriented. These include, but not limited to, signals & systems, system modelling and simulation, microprocessors & interfacing, power electronics, control engineering, process design engineering, biomedical instrumentation, SCADA systems & applications and virtual instrumentation. The programme includes a mandatory industrial attachment lasting at least two (2) months after the third year of study and a compulsory research project spanning the two semesters.
